Couple:

Beth & Johnny

Location:

East Linton, Ontario

From the Photographer:

Oh gosh, where do I start? Not only are the Bride and Groom AMAZING (and gorgeous!!) but the Bride is a good friend of mine. The details were all so beautiful and the day was relaxed and wonderful. I loved meeting so many talented vendors for the first time at her wedding and I feel we were such a great team working behind the scenes for this sweet couple! It was held on a private farm, the bride’s father built the family home, so it is literally a one time wedding venue and is STUNNING!!!

From the Couple:

How did you choose your venue?: I have always wanted to get married outdoors, and my parent’s property is absolutely stunning so my choice was easy. My dad had built the house and done all the landscaping around the property which Loni captured so beautifully. I also wanted to be able to have photos done with my horse which was much easier to do with him on location.

What was the most important thing for you for your wedding day?: I just wanted to have beautiful weather! My family did a wonderful job of putting together all the decor and bringing the farm to be wedding ready. All I wanted was a sunny day so everyone would be able to enjoy the outdoors.

Describe any unique details from your day and why they were special to you: So the most special detail about my day was that I got to wear my mothers wedding dress. It was a beautiful lace dress, with big puffed off-the-shoulder sleeves. I had Brenda from Brenda’s Bridal Boutique in Tara to do all the alterations to turn my moms dress into my dream dress! I had always wanted to wear my moms gown, so I was thankful for the wonderful job Brenda did helping make that happen

What was the atmosphere you were trying to create?: I really was dreaming of a vintage style wedding. I chose to wear my mom’s lace wedding dress, along with painting and distressing furniture to create my dream tea bar! I also had beautiful mismatched china for all my plates. Along with beautiful china to finish off the look of my tea bar.

What area of your wedding did you splurge on? (what was your top priority): I would say that I splurged on my photographer and my florist!

I adore Loni (the photographer) and the style she displays in all her photos. The light airy feeling that you get browsing through her photos was exactly what I wanted for my big day! Loni was amazing about capturing every detail.

And my florist (Little Buds and Posies) did an amazing job bringing me soft beautiful floral arrangements. I was in love with all the arrangements she put together, especially my bouquet!

What area of your wedding did you save on?: We definitely saved on our venue costs as we had the ceremony and reception at my parents farm.

What wedding advice would you give to someone planning their wedding now?: I would say don’t stress on the small things. Focus on your favourite details and making them exactly how you want them. You won’t notice the small things day of. Just remember that your wedding is about celebrating your future with your best friend, In the end that is what is most important!

What was your most memorable moment of the day?: I will never forget the look on my husband’s face when he saw me walking down the aisle. Absolutely unforgettable.

What was your biggest challenge in the planning process?: Trying to get invitations/save the dates sent. Keeping addresses organized is not fun!

What was your first dance song?: Keith Urban - Parallel Line
